    General Assistant: Water And Sanitation (X3)

    • T5 (Estimated CTC R296 825.60 p. a)
    • Basic Salary: T5 (R159 666.47 – R206 239.91 p.a)

    Applicants must be in possession of a: 

    • Grade 9
    • 6 months - 1 years’ relevant experience in Water and Sanitation
    • Must be able to read and write
    • Person must be physically fit to lift heavy equipment
    • Must be willing to work long hours, after hours, standby and public holidays
    • Good communication skills in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

    Preferred Requirements: 

    • Grade 9
    • 6 months - 1 Year’s relevant water and sanitation experience.
    • Duties will entail: Connecting pipes to tankers and septic tanks, Closing of valves and starting pumps on sewer tankers, Opening of sewer manholes and septic tank covers,
    • Disposal of wastewater at wastewater plants, Assisting the immediate superior(Driver) where possible, Providing a clean and efficient service to the public.
    • Competencies: Managing Work, Workplace Safety, Task Accountability, Quality Orientation
