    General Distribution System Coordinator

    Description

    • Handle, resolve and escalate Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP), GDS complaints, requests and queries;
    • Issue Agent Debit Memo (ADM) and Agent Credit Memo (ACM);
    • Resolve ADM disputes;
    • Investigate and resolve travel agent queries with regard to incorrect re-issue transactions and void exchange coupons;
    • Action and resolve GDS held/rejected payment report;
    • Assess and action refunds, revisits and finalisations;
    • Provide waiver codes to travel agents for delays/schedule changes;
    • Assign travel agent ticketing authority;
    • Creating Travel Agent log-ins when requested;
    • Compile and distribute ADM’s list/report;
    • Provide feedback on the GDS held/ rejected payments report;
    • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders (GDS providers, airports, interline carriers and travel agents) to foster meaningful interactions.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential);
    • BSP Link and or GDS system training (Advantageous);
    • 3 – 5 years experience working on BSP or airline reporting systems in a mid-size organisation (Essential);
    • Experience in travel bookings/ airline bookings (Essential); 
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook); 
    • Proficient in Radixx (Essential);
    • Knowledge and understanding of BSP (Advantageous);
    • Knowledge of GDS (Essential);
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills;
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
    • Interpersonal skills;
    • Organising and planning skills;
    • Numeracy skills;
    • Conflict resolution skills;
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a highly deadline-driven environment.
