    General Manager Finance – FM1739

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting & Auditing or related qualification
    • MIN of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail and numerical reasoning skills
    • Exposure to and understanding of implementation of OHSA & BRC, Food Safety & auditing
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Valid driver’s license

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Leadership and Respect:

    • Emphasize leadership and genuine respect for all involved.
    • Manage a large team with support from the HR department.

    Board Representation and Reporting:

    • Expected to sit on the board.
    • Involved in reporting financial matters to the board and shareholders by Year two.
    • Ensure prompt availability of month-end financials.

     Accounts:

    • Transition to Xero as a financial package in 2024.
    • Evolve month-end reporting and collaborate with OMNE for professional assistance.

    World Food Safety Regulations:

    • Gain understanding of global food processing standards.
    • Focus on critical control points and chemical residue controls.

    Factory Processes:

    • Understand process flow and labor requirements.
    • Visit factories as necessary.

     Marketing:

    • Develop an understanding of the market, main customers, and their requirements.

     Modeling:

    • Review and refine cash flow models, profit-sharing models, and grower viability models.

    Agriculture:

    • Support and maintain relationships with growers based on trust and integrity.
    • Contribute to farmers’ day presentations.

     Finance and Cash Flow:

    • Ensure adequate facilities are in place for crop processing based on cash flow.

     Currency Trading:

    • Track exchange rates continuously and recommend forward cover policies.

     CAPEX Projects:

    • Collaborate with other GMs and Factory Managers to draw up budgets for all CAPEX projects.

     R&D:

    • Understand current R&D efforts and contribute to joint efforts with marketing.

     Backup:

    • Potentially grow the management team based on business growth.
    • Mentor a factory manager during the off-season.
    • Ability to Constantly Look into the Future:
    • Plan the future of the business, considering crop sizes, agricultural planning cycles, and new technologies.
    • Ability to Make Quick Decisions:
    • React and deal with unexpected challenges effectively.
    • Support from the Board and Shareholders:
    • Ensure the board remains effective, supportive, and aligned with international corporate governance.
