General Worker REF :GWP2401 at KWV

Purpose:  The incumbent is required to perform manual bottle packing, partition inserting, light inspection and general ad hoc functions. This position is based at Line F Production line.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• 2-3 years’ experience in a production environment
• Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime if and when required.

Knowledge required:

• Knowledge and understanding of HACCP in a production environment
• Good understanding of Manufacturing Process
• Understanding Quality in a production environment
• Basic knowledge of process control systems and standards

Skills required:

• Basic numerical and technical skills
• Administration skills
• Good communication skills (English & Afrikaans)
• Able to work individually and in a team
• Problem identification
• High attention to detail
• Target driven and focused on continuous improvements

Job summary:

• Implement good housekeeping, hygiene and safety practices
• Assist machine operator with cleaning and first line maintenance tasks
• Assist with ad hoc duties as and when required
• Meet all requirements within set timeframes as per production schedule
• Consistently comply with workplace standards and practices
• Ensuring all procedures are followed regarding process control
• To pay close attention to the condition of incoming materials and outgoing finished products.
