Ensure reliable and timely acquisition of geological data and assist the relevant Geologists in geological interpretations and data validation.
Your duties will include:
Ensure proper planning and execution of drilling and pit mapping to understand structural controls for ore distribution better.
Ensure proper sampling and compositing of samples.
Ensure that all information (geology and chemistry values) is imported into Acquire after logging, sampling, and pit mapping are completed in a specific area.
Validation of all geological information in the relevant area.
Update the current production geology database with the processed drilling and pit mapping.
Information to ensure accurate and available data.
Ensure quality assurance to comply with audit standards.
Spatial validation of all drilled borehole collars and depth information.
Assist the site QAQC champion with Production Geology QAQC reporting ad-hoc projects.
Support the exploration geologist to evaluate ad-hoc projects and innovative technology.
Qualifications:
Advanced National Vocational Certificate NCV5
NATED N6 Certificate
NQF5Valid
Degree in BSc Geology or B Tech Geology (Advantageous)
An Honors Degree will be advantageous.
SA Drivers License
