Goods Receiving Clerk at Nestle

Position Summary

The Inbound receiving clerk must process deliveries to the distribution center (DC) via the SAP system. Ensure that stock is brought in accurately & efficiently. Ensure that stock is made available to promise, ATP, as soon as possible

A day in a life of a Receiving Clerk:

• Receive Import stock via the SAP system
• Ensure that stock received matches the blind tally and system outbound delivery (OBD)
• Process and make stock ATP (available to promise) as soon as blind tally is received
• Close of shipments for import deliveries
• Close shipments of all local deliveries daily
• File closed local ASN documents
• Rectify discrepancies on local & import documentation – unresolved issues must be escalated to Inbound Team
• Import documentation & blind tally pertaining to the same purchase order must be attached together and sent to Team Leader
• File Imports documentation sequentially once Port Health and State Vet have released the stock
• Assist in retrieving filed documentation
• Issue container pass outs for empty containers offloaded for the day
• Assist with receiving of truck loads when required
• Assist with labour allocation to containers when required
• Assist with other general duties when requested by the team leader or warehouse manager
• Relief of Team Leader in his / absence
