Our client, one of the global beauty luxury companies within the FMCG industry, is currently looking for a Graduate Student to support their office in Cape Town, South Africa.

This role is hands-on and will give you a great exposure, within 1 year, how an international cosmetic and beauty brand markets their products and manages the overall supply chain as well as demand planning strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

• Degree in Logistics, BCom or related field 
• Previous work experience of 1 year in the beauty or FMCG
• Experience in demand or supply planning advantageous 
• Knowledge in exports and distribution advantageous 
• Exposure to Distributor Business Model 
• Excellent numerical skills 
• High attention to detail
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills 
• Excellent project management skills

Key responsibilities:

• Provide general administrative and analytical support to the sales functions
• Support the sales team, which is responsible for distributors within the African market 
• Exposure to Distributor Business Model
• Data Analysis
• Implement effective commercial planning processes (demand/supply)
• Support customer service function, ensuring sales/supply orders are received, processed and delivered on time according to customer requirement 
• Report and review of all relevant monthly logistics KPI 
• Set up end to end supply chain to drive service reliability with business model change 
• Implement forecasting and supply planning process improvements Forecast future requirements for suppliers
• Monitor and track transportation shipments from inception to final delivery
