Graduate- Metallurgical Engineer at Weir Minerals

Purpose of Role: 

• To support metallurgical operations within the foundry by assisting in analysis, process optimization, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• The role provides exposure to casting and heat treatment processes and fosters collaboration across engineering and production teams to ensure product integrity and compliance with industry standards.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Physical Metallurgy Degree.
• University results – C average (60%) or higher.
• Basic understanding of casting, heat treatment, and metallurgical testing methods, foundry experience is advantageous.
• Ability to educate shopfloor employees in an understandable format about the metallurgy concepts and to create and update standard operating procedures (SOP).
