Dis-Chem Pharmacies (CJ Marketing) in Delmas has an opportunity available for a Graphics Designer to join their team. The main purpose of this role will be to to create and develop engaging graphics for a variety of media. This includes receiving a brief, defining the requirements, and creating all required elements such as illustrations, logos, layouts, photos, etc. in all types of mediums.

Minimum Requirements…

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design 
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in graphic design environment, Packaging, multi-media, social media

Advantage:

• Web design 7 & Development qualification
• Experience in designing retail store signage, Web design & Development

Job Specification…
 

• To drive consistent standards and approaches throughout all design aspects.
• Plan, design, and develop the CJ marketing material and improvements of all platforms.
• Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print.
• Design, illustrate and photograph any element required for such a need.
• Ensure work is in line with the client brief at all times.
• Creatively produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design.
• Ensure all items are print ready for the production team.
• Manage work load and production from start to finish.
• Present finalised ideas and concepts to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of the progress of all jobs.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements per design project.
• Stay up to date with new technology trends with the graphic design space.
• Innovatively redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
• Meet clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job.
• Work as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account managers, web developers and marketing specialists to ensure high quality work.
• Ensure team members that are on-board with the different projects are in the loop with regards to the finalization of these different projects.
• Consider recommendations of team member`s suggestions, on improving design dilemmas.
• Work in a logical order to give relevant and accurate feedback to team members and management regarding projects.
