Graphic Designer at Tourvest Destination Management

Description

To effectively execute creative briefs for various design and creative projects for all business units within the company.

Responsibilities

DESIGN WORK

• Create designs for all the brands creative needs including:
  • Social media images, banners for tourism Update and iConnect, Email signatures, creative work for newsletters, websites and more.
  • Working closely with the Marketing and Creative manager as well as brand marketers to ensure that briefs are followed.
  • Working with design software like InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Up skilling through tutorials, webinars and online courses.

TDM DOCUMENTS CUSTODIAN

• Updating and managing all creative updates and changes for various company documents including:
  • PowerPoint documents and templates, health, safety & hygiene docs, itineraries, company letterheads, templates and CI documents.
  • Working closely with the Marketing and Communications manager as well as brand marketers to ensure that briefs are followed.
  • Regular follow ups with all business units to stay up-to-date with changes.

COMPANY ORGANOGRAM

• Responsible for updating all the brand’s organograms.
• Communication with all the brands on a regular basis to ensure the documents are up to date.

VIDEO DESIGN AND EDITING

• Creating and editing videos for campaigns across all brands.

WEBSITE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE

• Assist with website updates for all brands when required.

GUIDE ACADEMY

• Regular communication with the TDM Head Guide.
• Work on internal campaigns to promote the Tourist Guides within the company.

ICONNECT SHAREPOINT

• Ability to update and make changes in iConnect in collaboration with the Digital Designer and the Marketing and Communications Manager.

TEAM WORK

• To build and maintain good relationships within the team.
• Pro-actively get involved.
• Assist in areas of expertise.
• Flexibility to assist colleagues out of normal office hours, when and if required.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

• Continuously develop product knowledge, attend industry events/seminars/conferences, and participate in supplier workshops, educationals and trade shows.
• Keep abreast of industry trends.
• Attend all internal training interventions.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Matric / Grade 12
• 3 Years Administration experience
• Graphic design qualification
• Experience with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• MS Office experience
• Familiar with social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
• Excellent South African and Regional geographic knowledge
• Strong logistical knowledge
