Groundskeeper | Driver at African Echoes Recruitment

• A luxury private residence in the Cape Town region is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and versatile Groundskeeper & Driver to join the household team.
• This is a varied, hands-on role combining garden maintenance, driving duties, and general property support. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining the gardens and outdoor areas while providing professional driving services and assisting the household wherever required.
• Applications from couples are welcomed, where one partner fulfils the Groundskeeper & Driver role and the other the Housekeeper position.

REQUIREMENT: 

• RSA ID and legal residence essential
• Previous gardening, property maintenance, or similar experience
• Professional driving experience advantageous
• Valid Driver's Licence advantageous
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Physically fit and able to perform manual duties
• Friendly, reliable, and self-motivated
• Professional when interacting with homeowners and guests
• Own reliable transport or comfortable using public transport 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, and landscaped areas
• Carry out seasonal garden maintenance and fertilising programmes
• Assist with basic pool and spa maintenance
• Clean and maintain garden equipment and outdoor furniture
• Drive homeowners and guests when required
• Maintain household vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition
• Assist with lifting, window cleaning, and general household support when required
• Support the household team to ensure the property is maintained to exceptional standards 

PACKAGE: 

• R9,000 – R11,000 per month (DOE)
• Live-out position with the possibility of live-in for a successful couple placement
• 5–6 day work week
• Start date: October 2026
