Duties :
To perform general routine manual maintenance activities. Perform routine activities in respect of grounds through inter alia the following: Irrigation & watering of plants/lawns, Weeding, Pruning & trimming of plants, Cutting, seeding, transplanting, Mowing lawns, dispose of organic waste, dig up compost, Digging, Spraying, maintain flower beds, edges, etc. perform general routine activities in respect of infrastructure which would include inter alia the following: Maintain road markings, painted surfaces, canals, buildings etc. Cleaning signs, light fittings etc.
Sweeping, Mix and lay cement for walkways, driveways etc. Unblocking drains, Empty and clean waste collection bins, Cleaning and maintenance of roads, pavements and greenhouses.
Perform general activities which would include, inter alia, the following: Care for equipment e.g. cleaning, oiling, sharpening etc. Loading/off loading, Moving furniture, Make minor repairs to furniture and Wash government vehicles. Assist in firebreaks and veld fire firefighting.
