    Scientist Production Grade A-C: Agronomist

    Requirements :

    • Matric/ Grade 12 plus and appropriate four-year Degree (NQF level 8) in Agriculture Crop Science or relevant qualification as recognized by SAQA.
    • 3 years’ relevant scientific advisory experience on crop production, preferably Agronomy.
    • Must be registered with a professional body (SACNSP) as an Agricultural Scientist Professional. Must be in possession of a valid driver’s licence.

    Duties :

    • To conduct and facilitate crop production (agronomy) research, assessment, evaluation, development, innovation, ensure the protection and sustainability of resources and contribute towards a knowledge economy. Provide research findings and ensure specialist advice, information, training and guidance by working directly with beneficiaries in collaboration with extension officers and other stakeholders such as Universities and research Institutes.
    • Develop and implement Research methodologies, policies, systems and procedures.     • Provide scientific support and advice. Develop working relations with client base.     Agricultural Advisor: Extension and Advisory Services

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12 plus a 3-year bachelor’s degree/B Tech degree in Agriculture/Extension /Crop (NQF level 7) as recognized by SAQA.

    Requirements :

    • Supervision of staff and develop working relations with client base under supervision. Create basic public awareness of the systems ecology dynamics. Provide accurate data and information as requested. Conduct basic analysis of scientific data and compile reports.

    Requirements :

    Biodiversity Officer Specialised Production

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12 plus Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in Nature Conservation or relevant qualifications as recognized by SAQA.
    • Minimum 6 years’ experience in general conservation/environmental law enforcement field. Experience in the implementation of investigations (covert and overt), CITES and detective work as well as the successful completion of Environmental Management Inspectorate (EMI) training/ Designated EMI will be an added advantage. Co-operative Governance Planning to ensure the successful completion of investigations, administrative duties related to investigations, to ensure a proper prepared docket for the Prosecutors, Issue admission of guilty fines (J534) at times to ensure that transgressors do not continue with less serious crimes.
