Group Accountant at Ellahi Consulting

Desired Experience & Qualification:

• Qualified CA.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a group Accountant.
• Experience in group financial reporting and consolidations.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Advanced excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems.

Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare/Review and reconcile balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
• Assist with preparing statutory financial statements and liaising with external auditors.
• Prepare monthly flash and management pack.
• Support the FM in running the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Provide variance analysis and financial performance insights.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies, processes and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls across the group.
• Monitor tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax, transfer pricing) in collaboration with tax advisors.
• Work closely with subsidiaries and the business department to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting.
• Support senior management with financial analysis for decision-making.
• Provide financial support for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities.
• Enhance financial reporting processes and automation.
• Assist with ERP/system implementations and upgrades.
• Drive efficiencies in financial operations
