Group Accountant at Helderberg Personnel

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
• Prepare management reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns
• Conduct internal audits and implement financial controls
• Prepare audit files for auditors
• Generate ad hoc financial reports as required by management

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Pastel or similar)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• High level of integrity and professionalism

Education and Experience Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. SAIPA)
• 5- 6 years of relevant accounting experience
• Good Excel skills
