    Accounts Assistant

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Debtors / Customers

    • Reviewing orders received and processing customer invoices
    • Reconciling customer accounts where required
    • Reviewing credit applications and submitting these to the Accountant for further processing 

    Creditors / Suppliers

    • Reviewing supplier invoices for completeness and accuracy
    • Obtaining the necessary approval from relevant Heads of Department
    • Processing approved supplier invoices accurately and timeously
    • Ensuring all invoices have the required authorisation before processing
    • Reconciling supplier accounts
    • Conducting bi-weekly reviews of supplier ageing

    Budgets & Cost Control

    • Tracking departmental expenditure
    • Ensuring invoices are accurately allocated to the relevant budget trackers
    • Monitoring relevant inventory input costs
    • Updating costing sheets as invoices and supporting information are received

     Banking & Cash-Ups

    • Preparing weekly payment files
    • Distributing proof of payments to relevant Heads of Department
    • Preparing monthly payment files for review by the Accountant
    • Reconciling weekly cash-ups
    • Investigating and following up on cash-up variances

     Financial Controls & Reporting

    • Assisting with maintaining effective financial controls and procedures
    • Ensuring all financial information is captured accurately and timeously
    • Ensuring assets are correctly allocated and asset records are kept up to date

     Audit & Stock Control

    • Assisting with financial year-end audit preparation and supporting documentation
    • Assisting with monthly stock verification as required

    General Administration

    • Maintaining accurate and organised financial filing
    • Providing support and guidance to junior staff members where required
    • Assisting with general finance and administrative tasks as required

    Criteria

    • Relevant experience in an accounts, bookkeeping or finance support role
    • A relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualification will be advantageous.
    • A sound understanding of creditors, debtors and account reconciliations
    • Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and financial information
    • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach
    • Good organisational and communication skills
    • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

    Debtors Clerk

    Duties will include, but are not limited to:

    • Managing the full debtors / accounts receivable function
    • Preparing and distributing accurate monthly invoices and statements
    • Daily allocation and reconciliation of payments received
    • Preparing and reviewing monthly age analysis reports
    • Proactively following up on outstanding accounts and overdue fees
    • Resolving billing and account queries with clients
    • Reconciling debtor accounts and investigating discrepancies

    Requirements:

    Financial Clerk / Junior Bookkeeper

    Responsibilities 

    • Capture supplier invoices, maintain accurate creditor records in multiple currencies
    • Prepare supplier payment schedules
    • Process company bank account and credit card statements
    • Perform creditor, bank, and credit card reconciliations
    • Resolve supplier account queries and discrepancies
    • Process employee expense claims and company credit card transactions
    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
    • Process monthly journals (including but not limited to PAYE / prepayments) and maintain supporting documentation

    Production Shift Manager

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Manage Line Managers and Supervisors per shift to ensure packing programmes are effectively implemented, and production targets are met
    • Review packing lines according to packing program and report on deviations to the Production Manager
    • Packing of fruits according to correct market requirements and standards
    • Coordinate bins and packing material process for packing lines
    • Track and report on shift KPIs (kg packed per line, pack-out %, downtime) and take corrective action on underperforming lines
    • Manage production/pack line downtime to a minimum, escalating recurring mechanical or resourcing issues
    • Continual quality inspection throughout the day according to the packing program
    • Receive and analyse quality reports and coordinate adjustments to packing when appropriate
    • Check sizes and weights of fruit and adjust diameter, if necessary
    • Manage the allocation of wage staff across lines in line with the pack plan and labour availability, adjusting for absenteeism and throughput changes during the shift
    • Assist with relevant administration and/or reporting for audit purposes

    • Management of BRCGS and relevant quality standards and procedures

    Requirements

    • Tertiary Qualification or relevant training in operations
    • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a fresh produce packhouse or FMCG production environment, with at least 2–3 years in a Junior Management role
    • In-depth knowledge of production and quality of fruit (apples and pears)
    • Experience managing a team through Line Managers/Supervisors

    Registered Nurse | Shift Leader

    Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

    • Lead and coordinate all care activities on shift, ensuring consistently high standards of holistic, clinical and personal care
    • Develop positive relationships with residents and understand their background, culture, medical condition, individual needs and preferences
    • Administer medication and perform specialised nursing duties, including wound and stoma care, specimen collection, infection control and risk management

    Criteria:

    • Registered Nurse with current SANC registration and annual licence to practise
    • Minimum Grade 12
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a care environment, with previous experience caring for older persons; elderly/frail care experience essential
    • Experience in dementia care, with formal training in the care of people with dementia advantageous/required
    • Proven leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent communication and listening skills, with strong interpersonal skills and extraordinary patience and empathy when working with older persons
    • Excellent organisational abilities, attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Self-driven, reliable and able to work effectively under pressure and handle stressful situations

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintenance Supervisor (Facilities)

    Key Performance Areas: 

    Staff Management 

    • Oversees work assigned maintenance and gardening team
    • Addresses minor discipline problems, refer serious cases to Estate Manager
    • Plan and prepare training of new team members

    Maintenance and Gardens

    • Evaluates facilities for repairs            
    • Plan and prioritise work schedules with Estate Manager

    • Collaborate with team members to plan upcoming work assignments

    • Conduct routine inspections of the site and note any items for repair

    • Conduct regular inspections of the workshop, Paint shop and garden shed to ensure they are kept neat and tidy

    • Regular tool and inventory checks
    • Available after hours for emergencies
    • Carry out any repairs required to equipment (both the Maintenance and gardening equipment)
    • Carry out any required repairs to irrigation systems
    • Instruct and guide team members on how to carry out a required job 

    Skills and Experience

    • Proficient in English & Afrikaans (isiXhosa is an added benefit)
