    Group Aftermarket Manager

    Group Aftermarket Manager

    The position as Group Aftermarket Manager at John Deere Mechanisation in Douglas, Northern-Cape is vacant

     

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the organisation’s aftermarket business growth through developing and implementing the Aftermarket Marketing Plan. Creating the annual parts and service department goals and budget in alignment with the business’s financial and operational objectives. Manages the customer satisfaction program (John Deere Experience Programme)

    Responsibilities

    • Develops and implements the aftermarket strategic business plan for the business with the focus on aftermarket growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Develops and maintains effective parts and service department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
    • Creates annual parts and service department goal and budget in alignment with the business’s financial and operational objectives.
    • Develops and executes parts and service department marketing plan and monitors the achievement of established goals.
    • Manages the CSR(s) to ensure their role is fully integrated into the Whole Dealer department.
    • Meets frequently with customers for a better understanding of their needs and is actively involved in the customer satisfaction process.
    • Selects and facilitates the implementation of appropriate procedures and operational development, such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, demonstrations, simulation exercises and computer-based training for the entire business.
    • Manages ongoing relationships with key John Deere personnel and works effectively with the sales and finance department.
    • Leads, supervises and coaches the parts and workshop team leaders and members.
    • Recruits, hires, develops through training and takes necessary action to retain key talent.
    • Overall responsibility for aftermarket department equipment, including vehicles and aftermarket facilities.

    Requirements

    • 3-5 years’ experience in managing parts and service department operations.
    • Proven experience in a training and development role with involvement in activities such as instruction, needs assessments and other related work.
    • Knowledge of database software, computer training application systems and ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions.
    • Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent understanding of financial principles relative to parts and service department operations.
    • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
    • High level of communication and human relations
