Group IT Head

A great opportunity has become available with our client who has a global reach and currently looking for a Head of Group IT.  The role will be based in Cape Town, with a global remit. You will lead the Group's IT tech strategy, the execution and manage the operations. You will be required to develop internal skills, manage vendor relationships and be the champion for defining, scaling and operating processes along with project management excellence. 

Some key responsibilities will include: 

• Overseeing all technology operations and ensure its effectiveness
• Develop and establish IT strategies according to industry best practice, driving customer and end user experience in order to support the strategies
• Responsible for purchasing efficient and cost effective equipment and software 
• Budget control and reporting 
• Establish an upgrade strategy which includes upgrades to configurations, software and new systems. 

Key Requirements: 

• Experience in large-complex technical efforts including cross-functional agile teams
• Experience with the following technologies: PureCloud or Genesys Engage, MS Azure / AWS, Cisco networking, VMWare, Fortinet Firewall, Server Infrastructure (HP/Nutanix)
• Relevant Degree 
• Ability to present and communicate at all levels
• Strong leadership skills and a proven ability in leading a team to ensure objectives are met.
