    Group Parts Pricing Analyst

    Type of Position:    

    As part of the NSO Finance function, the Parts Pricing Analyst is responsible for maintaining parts pricing for all vehicle brands in the VW Group Aftersales division. It includes the implementation of inflationary price increases, conducting business case analysis with regards to pricing profitability and the maintenance of pricing systems in the Group Aftersales business. It supports the Group Parts division by exploring opportunities for turnover growth, improved profitability, customer and dealer satisfaction through the development of competitive pricing strategies on parts and accessories.

    Job Description and Responsibilities    

    • Generate weekly price files and communicate changes to the dealer network and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Daily price query resolution and management.
    • Manage inflationary price Increases in pricing system and ensure it is made active in SAP for warehouse.
    • Benchmarking & indexing parts together with Product Specialists.
    • Review the loss making parts and advise the division on the way forward.
    • Review all parts prices and ensure that there are no zero retail price values.
    • Review of current reference pricing methodology.
    • Evaluation of Business Cases from Sales.
    • Participate in quarterly Pricing meeting and liaise with brands regarding pricing projects.
    • Assist with project implementation of new Group pricing system.
    • Implement process improvements in the VWSA NSO Controlling Pricing Analyst role.
    • Report on monthly KPI’s to superiors.

    Education and Experience    

    • Must have a post Matric qualifications, National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management, Accounting.
    • Must have a minimum of 3 – 5 Years financial experience in motor or related industry.

    Skills, Attributes & Other requirements    
    ESSENTIAL:

    • Sound understanding of pricing methodologies and financial principles.
    • Must be proficiency with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & SAP (advantageous).
    • Analytically minded with the ability and inclination to work accurately with financial detail.
    • Ability to listen and communicate effectively at all levels
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills

    PREFERRED:

    • A post-graduate qualification/ Honours degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Business Management will be preferred.
    • Pricing Analyst experience in aftersales of motor industry will be advantageous
    • Project Management abilities
    • Be innovative, resourceful and action-orientated 
    • Ability to work on own initiative and take accountability for own actions
    • A team player, yet be able to work and manage own output independently to meet high quality standards
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet set deadlines
