Develop and implement a Group-wide Patient Services and Revenue Cycle strategy aligned with the organisation's financial and operational objectives.
Optimise the end-to-end revenue cycle, including pre-admissions, authorisations, case management, billing, and collections, to improve cash flow, reduce debtor days, and enhance collection rates.
Design and standardise a seamless patient administrative journey, improving communication with patients regarding funding, co-payments, and billing transparency.
Identify and implement digital innovations and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within patient services.
Ensure compliance with medical scheme regulations, POPIA, healthcare funding rules, and internal governance and audit requirements.
Implement controls and monitoring mechanisms to reduce revenue leakage and improve billing accuracy.
Establish and monitor Group performance indicators, including debtor days, authorisation turnaround times, collection ratios, and patient satisfaction scores.
Oversee and standardise admissions, case management and debtors processes across all facilities to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with medical schemes, managed care organisations, clinicians, and hospital management teams.
Provide leadership and development to patient services teams, fostering a high-performance, patient-centric culture aligned with organisational goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric
Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent qualification
Alternatively, a Diploma with 8–10 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of medical schemes and healthcare funding processes.
Strong expertise in revenue cycle management, including admissions, authorisations, case management, billing, and collections.
Experience in case management and overseeing patient care coordination.
Proficiency with hospital billing systems and related healthcare IT platforms.
