Group Payroll Specialist at Salt South Africa

Overview:

• Our client is looking for a Group Payroll Specialist to manage the monthly payroll process for approximately 180 UK-based employees across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role focused on accurate processing, UK payroll compliance, reconciliations and working with outsourced payroll bureaux.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly payroll cycle across multiple UK entities.
• Prepare and review payroll inputs and liaise with outsourced payroll bureaux.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• Reconcile payroll costs and assist with month-end journals.
• Ensure compliance with UK PAYE, National Insurance and pension requirements.
• Support payroll controls, reporting and audits.

Requirements:

• UK payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and pension auto-enrolment.
• Experience with outsourced payroll bureaux.
• Multi-entity payroll experience is advantageous.
• Good Excel and payroll systems experience.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management skills.
