    Growth Marketer

    Work with Founders Factory Africa’s portfolio companies as a growth marketing expert to help portfolio companies drive towards their ambitious growth goals. A successful candidate will be able to cover a lot of breadth on growth channels, potential strategies, and a playbook of tactics — this might mean thinking about paid marketing for a marketplace startup during one meeting, followed by viral growth for a FinTech app in another.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with a cross functional team (Product, Design, Engineering, Partnerships and Sales) to establish growth strategies and tactics
    • Help startups conduct customer discovery interviews and segment their audiences
    • Propose and develop product-led growth hacks like optimising new user onboarding or conversion funnel
    • Develop and provide hands-on guidance with growth and product validation experiments
    • Setup, manage and coach startups on running Facebook, Google, LinkedIn paid ads campaigns
    • Create, manage and experiment with new user acquisition campaigns and tactics.
    • Execute on a wide range of growth experiments that help validate a startups customer, channel and vale-prop assumptions
    • Manage all social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) and drive content creation.
    • Manage SEO
    • Analyse data to monitor revenue performance and uncover areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present recommendations, reports, and findings from experimental data all the way up to the executive level.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years proven experience in growth and digital marketing channels within a consumer company, agency or startup
    • Strong growth track record of having developed and run digital marketing campaign strategy and execution with results
    • A proven track record in the following areas:
    • Paid Marketing (SEM, SEO, CRO, paid/organic social, email, affiliate, influencer and planning, content marketing
    • Product driven growth: Landing pages, signup funnel optimisation, viral sharing flows
    • Lifecycle: Email campaigns, social/community management, promo codes
    • Analytical mindset to drive user growth, engagement and conversion
    • Experience using analytics tools: Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hot Jar
    • Solid project management skills: ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners
    • Outstanding written, oral and presentation skills
    • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Hootsuite or other related marketing tools
