Purpose of the Role

• To maintain the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the electrical wholesaler’s premises through general maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general housekeeping duties, including:

• Weeding and maintaining the perimeter of the premises
• Upkeep of flower beds and outdoor areas
• Ensuring the premises are clean, tidy, and presentable at all times

Carry out general maintenance tasks, including:

• Basic electrical repairs and upkeep
• Minor plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Routine inspection of facilities to identify and resolve issues

Maintain shelving and storage systems:

• Repair and reinforce shelving where necessary
• Ensure shelves are safe, stable, and fit for purpose

Perform building maintenance:

• Painting of interior and exterior surfaces as required
• Minor structural repairs and upkeep
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and hazards
• Report major repair needs or safety concerns to management promptly
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
• Practical skills in painting, repairs, and general upkeep
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor
