A minimum of Grade 12 Certificate or ABET/AET NQF level 4 as recognised by SAQA.
Appropriate verifiable competencies in carpentry & joinery, repairs and installations.
Ability to use industrial woodwork machinery and electrical power tools etc. Willingness to perform shifts hours, weekend, public holidays and standby duties. Must be physically able to perform duties required.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Undertake the maintenance of buildings.
Carry out minor repairs and maintenance to hospital building.
Assist with repairs and emergency breakdowns (including after-hours repairs).
Maintain and repair equipment, repair of plant equipment, furniture, fixtures and mechanical fittings.
