Handyman/Messenger at City Property Administration (Pty) Ltd

Description

The role is responsible for performing basic maintenance and repairs in the entire building, as well as delivering mail and packages. 70% maintenance and 30% messenger duties.

• To maintain the buildings.
• Collect and deliver internal mail, parcels (hard-copy documents).
• Move and pack stock items within the building.
• Move and place furniture as required.
• Minor plumbing repairs as required.
• Minor electrical repairs (e.g. fit a new light fitting, change the light bulbs, install/repair wall plugs etc.)
• Paint work as required.
• General maintenance (e.g. carpentry, tiling, changing of locks, fixing door hinges etc.)
• Safe keeping of assigned tools, equipment, and stock.
• Report any defects or maintenance to the Office Manager.
• Accompany outside contractors when on site to give access.
• Overseeing contractors when they are required to do repairs over weekends.
• The safeguarding of building keys and attentiveness to security.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum Grade 10 - Required
• 2 year experience as a handyman - Required
• Messenger (delivery of mail and parcels) experience - Advantegous
