Purpose of the Job

• Responsible for performing plumbing and building repairs, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks. Duties include obtaining quotes, supervising subordinates, and maintaining the safety and integrity of tools and equipment. The role also involves identifying faults, compiling work reports, and managing job cards.

Key Responsibilities 
Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform plumbing and general building maintenance services
• Identify faults and carry out timely and effective repairs
• Ensure all building-related tasks are completed within set timeframes.

Job & Tool Management

• Open and close job cards accurately
• Maintain and safeguard tools and equipment issued
• Compile reports on completed work for tracking and compliance purposes

Procurement & Costing Support

• Obtain and manage quotes for building repairs, tools, and materials as required

Supervision & Team Support

• Supervise subordinates in the execution of maintenance and repair tasks
• Provide guidance and ensure adherence to work quality and safety standards

Conduct, Housekeeping & Safety Compliance

Follow and enforce health and safety regulations and procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Prior experience in a building maintenance environment
