Hardware & Software Asset Administrator at BCX

 (Duties & Responsibilities)

• Deliver against the Customer Specific Asset Management Processes and Procedures
• To effectively manage the clients Hardware and Software Assets
• Maintain Asset data on the related toolsets according to SLA’s
• Provide Asset Reporting as per agreed schedules
• Attend to customer queries and escalations
• Assist with the population & maintenance of the Software database
• Action on exception reporting and ensure corrective updates to the Asset databases
• Assist in internal Software Database verification exercises and action on exceptions
• Classifying of software and assist in identifying illegal or unlicensed Software through evaluation of the Software
• Liaise with stakeholder to obtain specific Software
• Populate and maintain Hardware and Software (contract, procurement and financial information)
• Hardware Asset Management
• Support the End-End Asset life-cycle IT Asset process through continuous updates to the status of the Hardware Assets as changes are affected
• Assist with the population & maintenance of the Hardware database
• Assist in internal Hardware Database verification exercises and action on exceptions
• Assist in audit exercises to confirm asset database accuracy
• Software Asset Management
• Delivering on the defined Asset Management Life-cycle Strategy
• Baseline the current Software Database and accuracy of the asset records
• Monitor the 'master data sources' within the Software databases to ensure high asset data integrity
• Identify License Compliance issues and report immediate exceptions

General

• Manage the in-scope Hardware and Software assets in the customer environment
• Manage IT Asset Calls logged requiring updates of the Hardware and Software Asset Register
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports as defined to the ITAM manager
• Action on escalations and provide prompt feedback
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the Asset database
• Perform specific IMACDE and SAM activities ensuring data accuracy and integrity
• Action on calls assigned and update the ITSM system
• Attend to escalations and ensure all calls assigned are attended to
• Perform data quality updates to ensure data integrity
• Manage customer expectations through continuous feedback on the call status
• Assist in the implementation of the Customer specific Continual Improvement Plan as agreed to
• Required Certification/Professional Registration

Qualification

• Matric
• ITIL foundation, CSAM
• Knowledge of ITAM Tools (Flexera & Remedy preferred)
   

Experience

• 1-5 Years ITAM experience
• 1-2-year Software Asset Management experience preferred
