We are seeking a seasoned Head Chef with a strong culinary and catering background, excellent knowledge of catering operations, familiar with using state of the art cooking techniques, able to lead and manage the preparation and execution of high quality menus for all catering events. Someone that is forward thinking, resourceful with excellent communication and operational skills.
It is a pre-requisite to have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport. Applicants need to reside in the local vicinity of the Winelands Region.

Able to plan, direct food preparation and culinary activities
Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the guests
Exceptional leadership skills to manage and lead a team effectively
Hands-on approach to all catering activities and events
Responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
Responsible for maintaining all catering equipment
Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests
