Head, Client Solutions & IB Ventures Technology at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

Accountable to successfully develop and implement client centric system, software and solutions to achieve strategic objectives and goals for CIB Technology and enable the IB capability across Standard Bank. Define and maintain solutions to support operational processing, enable informed decision making and identify opportunities to provide revenue generating opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree
• Field of Study: Information Studies

Technology business partnering, strategy and planning

• Experience Required: 8-10 years
• A solid Integration and IT background, consistently keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field. Proven track record to a broad spectrum of stakeholders including senior executives. Knowledge of Agile and Lean frameworks, methods and practices and experience in being a catalyst for organisational change. Experience working with cross-functional teams fostering collaboration and team work. 

Delivery Management: Portfolio/Platform

• Experience Required: 8-10 years
• Experience in the full lifecycle design and development covering solution design, application design, development, testing and maintenance, network software, operating systems, multi-tier environments, desktop and workgroup software, middleware, server technology, fault tolerant environments, development tools

Technical Competencies

Agile Planning

• The knowledge of release planning, velocity, capacity planning, burndowns, burn up rates and story mapping.

Cloud Platform Engineering

• Knowledge to codify patterns across the enterprise stacks, configuration management and primitives and templatising these.  Build, test and deploy, operate and manage including Telemetry, alerts and insights, patch, backup and restore, ITSM.

Emerging Technology Monitoring

• The identification of new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies, products, methods and techniques and the assessment of their relevance and potential value to the organization. The promotion of emerging technology awareness among staff and business management.
