Head of Apprenticeship - SSA at ALPLA Group

WHAT YOU WILL ENJOY DOING

• Participation on the strategic development of the apprenticeship program regarding new apprentices, Goal setting and performance evaluation in line with local cultural and legal regulations
• Personnel and organizational responsibility of apprentices at the Lanseria site
• Create and execute learning strategies and programs
• Ensure high quality, consistent and innovative initiatives to deliver apprentice programs
• Creation of new and additional training material for training in SSA region
• Creating an environment that will promote learning and motivate the apprentices
• Recruiting  and selection of apprentices
• Leadership and personnel development of the apprentices
• Experience in project management and budgeting
• Planning and preparation of work procedures and rotational schedules of apprentices
• Coordinates and support departmental trainers within defined scope of responsibility
• Close cooperation with Corporate Apprenticeship Development Team
• Supports career paths for apprentices

WHAT MAKES YOU GREAT

• Qualified artisan with Electrical/Electronic or Millwright background
• Experience with PLC’s, electronics, instrumentation, hydraulics, electro pneumatics
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in management of learning and training programs 
• Updated knowledge of effective learning and development methods
• Strong coaching and presentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to manage a team
• Strong project management and change management skills
