Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Communications to lead their Corporate Communications Department.
This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing an integrated marketing, communication, and brand strategy.
The successful candidate will align the organisation’s communication goals with its strategic objectives, while providing leadership to a team of six.
This position offers the opportunity to lead communication initiatives, safeguard the brand, oversee publication processes, and support various departments in achieving their communication objectives.

What you'll do:
As Head of Communications, you will be responsible for leading a team of six in developing and implementing an integrated marketing, communication, and brand strategy.
Your role will involve monitoring and safeguarding the brand through a comprehensive risk communication strategy.
You will guide department heads through strategic communication planning to achieve their objectives.
Your responsibilities will also include creating and managing production schedules for publications, overseeing the release of monthly and weekly newsletters, leading marketing activities to grow the brand, fostering relationships with stakeholders, increasing sales, and managing the annual communication budget.
Ensure the achievement of communication objectives aligned with organisational goals
Monitor and safeguard the brand through a comprehensive risk communication strategy
Provide leadership to the Corporate Communications Department Guide department heads through strategic communication planning
Create and manage production schedules for publications
Oversee the release of monthly and weekly newsletters
Lead marketing activities to grow and enhance the brand Foster relationships with media, members, and other key stakeholders
Increase advertising sales and in-store sales Draft, distribute, and present the annual communication budget
What you bring:
As our ideal candidate for Head of Communications, you bring a wealth of experience in communications roles with at least five years spent in a leadership position. You have proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies that drive organisational objectives. Your background includes overseeing publication processes and media relations. You possess strong knowledge of risk communication and brand management principles. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations is required for this role; a Master’s degree would be advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field (Master’s degree advantageous)
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in communication roles with at least5 years in a leadership position
Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies that drive organisational objectives
Experience overseeing publication processes and media relations
Strong knowledge of risk communication and brand management principles
