Our client is looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to drive the success and expansion of their ETF business. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the ETF division, including sales, client relationship management, product development, and market positioning. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of our ETF offerings, enhancing their market appeal, and ensuring exceptional value delivery to clients.
A strong background in retail financial services, sales, and relationship management with DFMs, Financial Advisors, and Wealth/Asset Managers is essential. Prior exposure to ETFs would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a growth strategy for the ETF business, aligning with overall company objectives.
Sales & Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with institutional clients, Financial Advisors, DFMs, and key industry stakeholders to drive distribution and sales.
Product Development & Management: Lead the innovation, development, and launch of new ETF and AMETF products, ensuring compliance with market and regulatory requirements.
Market Expansion & Positioning: Work closely with the Marketing team to create and implement strategies that enhance brand presence and market share.
Performance Monitoring: Track financial and sales performance, implement data-driven strategies to optimize profitability, and drive continuous product improvements.
Industry Insights & Compliance: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal business units to ensure seamless distribution and operational efficiency of ETF products.
Executive Contribution: Serve as part of the Executive Management team, contributing to the company’s broader strategy and decision-making processes.
Key Requirements:
Senior-level experience in Financial Services, with a strong background in product development and strategy within the retail investment space.
Proven track record in retail product distribution through Financial Advisors, with established industry relationships.
Strong understanding of ETFs (preferred), coupled with expertise in retail business development.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering value-driven investment solutions.
Ability to travel within South Africa as required.
