Head of Finance (Mining) at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Head Of Finance to join their mining company based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership by overseeing financial planning, reporting, governance and commercial support to ensure sound financial performance and informed business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the finance function to support business objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes across the organisation.
• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts and year-end financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and financial reporting requirements.
• Manage treasury, cash flow and working capital to support operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management processes.
• Provide financial analysis, modelling and commercial support for business initiatives and capital projects.
• Lead audit processes and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes and reporting.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to promote high performance and succession planning.

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate
• CA(SA)
• Minimum 15 years' finance experience, including senior financial management within a mining environment
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance and financial governance.
• Experience in treasury, cash flow management and financial modelling.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or similar).
