Head of Legal and Compliance - SAV at Nokia

Ensures that Nokia's strategies are created and business decisions are made with adequate knowledge and understanding of the involved legal issues. Identifies and mitigates risks and developing contracts that safeguard Nokia interests and minimize legal and commercial risks.

Job Description

• Managing and overseeing Legal support for Nokia’s Southern Africa (SAV) Market Unit (approx. 10 countries) within Nokia's Middle East and Africa region
• Managing a contract manager for the Market Unit while reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance for Middle East and Africa region
• Being an active part of the SAV Market Unit Leadership Team, providing legal advice and counseling to Nokia's Customer Operations
• Advising on regulatory and compliance matters
• Oversee litigations, providing legal guidance relating to the formulation and implementation of company strategies and policies
• Supporting Nokia’s Networks business overall in the Southern Africa region.
• Analysis , negotiation and validation of Offer & Contract, working on tenders, statements of compliance, contract negotiation, in close cooperation with sales and customer team supporting the tendering phase,in a manner to provide advice and minimizing the legal risk
• Provide legal support on post customer contract for threaten, possible or envisaged claims, disputes and litigations and contract interpretation and interlock withLegal Specialists;
• Supports the Ethics and Compliance team in all relevant tasks
