The position will report to the General Manager - and will be tasked with the strategic role of directing commercial activities in the Projects Division to ensure they align with regional and international company requirements. Summary Of Role Responsibilities
Manage and optimise the daily business operations by creating collaborative frameworks for the division and national and international Business Units.
Assist in creating the strategic framework for the Business Unit in line with national, regional & international goals
Provide operational feedback by generating forecasts for operations including P&L, Production and execution reports
Co-operate with the Finance and Administration Division in order to ensure that all client invoices, all orders for projects and supplier invoices are processed timeously and in accordance with Company’s procedures
Ensure that the Departmental Managers and all staff complete projects to meet all of the following criteria:
Take full responsibility for the site SHEQ requirements as the assigned 16.2
Lead, review & approve project strategy, execution plan, procedures, control systems, co-ordination mechanisms, SHEQ plans, and budget objectives to ensure that projects are executed optimally and efficiently
Lead and finalise the Standard Product portfolio development in cooperation with BD / Distribution - including MBBR packages (Including developing the outsourcing strategy for most cost-effective manufacturing).
Create a framework for future product management and development regarding new products, current product management, engineering
Ensure effective management and execution of all SLA’s in South Africa by the FS teams
Assist the Business Development and/or Tendering Manager to ensure commercial offers are generated timeously according to clients requirements, on time and in budget
Assist HR to ensure that the Projects Division complies with the legal requirements of the Company’s HR policies and procedures.
Assist the various Business Units & commercial sector managers to create and maintain an effective sale strategy
Minimum Requirements & Competence
Minimum 10 years management experience
Must have Project Management experience (operational & maintenance)
Degree in Engineering
Waste & Wastewater Experience
Exceptional Financial Acumen & Knowledge of Commercial Terms
Exceptional leader & team player
Ideally fluent in Afrikaans, English & other languages ie French
