Developing productive relationships with all key personnel involved in growing and developing Specialist Business across the Sanlam Allianz JV, including in country licenses, and their RI captive (ex Saham Re, etc.)
Promoting & showcasing the up-to date product capabilities & capacities of all the Specialist Solutions products to Sanlam Allianz JV
Attending identified conferences on the ROA continent and successfully promoting the Santam Specialist Solutions brand, products, expertise, etc.
Accessing and circulating relevant market intel in terms of business opportunities for Specialist Solutions in respect of ROA & International markets
Building renewal and new business annual and longer-term budgets & plans in collaboration with Sanlam Allianz and Specialist Solutions in respect of their products, based on detailed engagement with the various key San Allianz & Specialist Solutions personnel and based on MOU’s
Engagement with the Specialist Solutions BU’s and San Allianz around compliance and adherence to the applicable MOU’s in place between the parties
Engagement with the Specialist Solutions BU’s and San Allianz around key operational challenges and administrative gaps (i.e. credit control issues, UW submissions, etc.)
Developing productive relationships with other RI broking companies and cedant companies across Africa and International and marketing the entire range of Specialist Solutions products, capacity and expertise where applicable.
Qualification and Experience
NQF 7 insurance or risk management qualification
Must be passionate about sales and marketing and business growth mindset.
Minimum of 10 years Broker and / or underwriting roles and experience across Santam Specialist Solutions line of business, with at least 5 years at a senior level.
Must be willing and enthusiastic to travel abroad extensively in this role – personal family circumstances will be considered in this regard.
FAIS Compliance and RE5.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance industry including the reinsurance market and the terminologies used.
Sound technical understanding of product lines across Santam Specialist Solutions.
