Head Waiter at Crew Life at Sea

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the dining room, including scheduling, training, and supervising the wait staff.
• Ensure that all guests are provided with exceptional service and that their dining experience meets or exceeds their expectations.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment for the wait staff.
• Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to the wait staff.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a cruise ship or high-end restaurant setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficient in English, with knowledge of other languages being a plus.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
