    Healthcare Co-Ordinator | Registered Nurse

    Description

    • The Faircape Group owns and manages six luxury retirement / lifestyle villages with state of the art and technologically advanced Healthcare Centres at each village.
    • These busy facilities with a versatile range of patients inclusive of frail, sub acute and assisted living, are situated in prime locations across the Western Cape.
    • We are seeking an experienced and energetic Registered Nurse to fulfill the role of Healthcare Co-Ordinator at our Bridgewater Manor and Heritage Manor facilities in Somerset West.
    • If you would like to work for a dynamic and reputable retirement group and have a passion for care then this is the job for you. To ensure high quality patient care, we also invest in continuous development of our staff, which includes both internal and external training.

    Duties include but is not limited to the following:

    • Daily clinic for village residents
    • Hombased care for village residents
    • Screen sub-acute patients in hospital prior to admission
    • Training and orientation of new staff
    • Medication Management
    • Assist in the healthcare as required
    • Handover
    • Administration
    • Emergencies
    • Annual visits to all village residents

    Requirements

    • Qualifications - Registered Nurse qualification, SANC registered
    • Experience and Knowledge – Experience in medical/surgical nursing (sub-acute and long-term care), dementia care, frail care and palliative care.
    • Skills and Attributes - Strong interpersonal skills, professional communication, ability to work under pressure, managerial skills, making sound decisions, computer literate, professional, focused, compassion for the elderly, be able to converse with people on different levels - staff, families, MDT and other professionals coming into the facility

    Specific Requirements

    • Own Transport
    • No criminal record
    • Solid and positive references

    Working Hours - Normal working days are Mondays to Fridays from 07h00 until 17h00. You will be required to be on standby one weekend per month to assist in the healthcare if needed

    Benefits

    • Salary on offer from R30,000 Cost to Company per month.
