Make sure that any copy can be published flawlessly and without problems.

• As a home editor on Netwerk24, you are expected to get copy quickly and flawlessly on the website, upload the content, carve out your homepage with the help of Google Analytics and keep it strong and use push notifications to keep readers up to date with breaking news.
• As a home editor, you are also expected to manage the desk journalists on duty on weekends and sometimes in the evenings. It requires you to quickly deliver breaking news to the journalist so that the story can appear correctly and flawlessly online.
• You can also be expected to compile your own stories from different sources.
• You are expected to take advantage of technology and multimedia
• Manage, coordinate, and drive daily loading of relevant, fresh and accurate content that will attract traffic to the site, and ensure that content is loaded correctly with the correct meta tags and description.
• Analyse site traffic and constantly try to improve and increase traffic by improving the packaging on the home page.
• Ability to run a desk shift over weekends, public holidays or on the night shift. Keep abreast of breaking news, assign stories to the journalist on duty and upload and publish content.
• Aggregate stories from different news agencies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant tertiary education in journalism;
• At least five years’ experience in journalism or a similar field
