Home School Teacher | Eversdal / Joostenbergvlakte | R13 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• A family is looking for a QUALIFIED HOME SCHOOL TEACHER for their daughter in Grade R (2027)
• Area: start in Eversdal, eventually permanently work in Joostenbergvlakte
• Ages: daughter in Grade R (2027)
• Working hours: Monday – Friday: 08h30 – 14h30 / 09h00 – 15h00
• Duties: Plan and deliver a child-led, Montessori-inspired homeschool programme. Teach core subjects through hands on, play-based and experiential learning. Foster independence, confidence, creativity and critical thinking. Incorporate learning into everyday activities, including cooking, gardening, nature exploration and practical life skills.
• Create a balanced routine that includes academics, outdoor learning, creativity and free play.  Adapt lessons to each child's individual needs, interests and learning style.
• Support literacy, numeracy, language development and school readiness. Encourage emotional, social and behavioural development through positive guidance. Prepare engaging learning materials and maintain a stimulating learning environment. Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the parents. Supervise educational outings and ensure the children's safety and wellbeing. Work collaboratively with the parents to support the children's educational and developmental goals.
• Requirements:  Qualified Montessori qualification or Teaching Degree in Foundation Phase Teaching. Warm, patient, creative and energetic. Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Curriculum: CAPS curriculum
• Start date: Term 4 of 2026 start – permanent contract
• Salary: R13 000 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
