Description

• Support the team in meeting targets, deadlines, and quality standards by understanding project objectives, coordinating tasks and timelines, and communicating priorities and expectations effectively.
• Assist with stock control by labelling, categorising, and tracking inventory using the system; support stock receipt, ensure accurate data entry and storage, perform stock checks, and report discrepancies to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist the team in aligning tasks with budget requirements by tracking expenditures, communicating budget status, negotiating favourable supplier terms, identifying cost-saving opportunities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely invoice processing.
• Promote operational efficiency by inspecting infrastructure, equipment, and tools; identifying damage or malfunction; scheduling preventative maintenance; and providing training on proper usage and care.
• Minimise site risks by regularly inspecting for hazards and safety concerns, monitoring equipment and environmental conditions, understanding emergency response protocols, and keeping the team informed of safety measures.
• Contribute to effective warehouse reporting by understanding reporting requirements, coordinating report creation and distribution, capturing data in the system, and filing reports in accordance with procedures on a monthly and ad hoc basis.

• To perform the day-to-day warehouse operations by receiving, binning, storing and stacking product, correctly picking and issuing product according to customer requirements, adhering to safety and compliance regulations for storing and stacking product and conducting activities accurately and efficiently, daily and as required

• Apply the correct product solutions by understanding product specifications, defining client requirements, assessing site conditions, and consulting with technical experts to optimise blasting performance. 
• Oversee charging and blasting operations by reviewing blast plans, drilling patterns, hole depths, explosive requirements, and initiation sequences to ensure safe and effective execution. 
• Conduct pre-blast inspections by identifying hazards, clearing the site of unauthorised personnel, positioning blast guards, supervising explosive loading, and initiating blasts as per approved plans. 
• Manage the safe drawing of explosives from the magazine by verifying permits, confirming explosive types and quantities, handling materials correctly, and using approved containers and equipment in line with regulations. 
• Execute safe explosives transport by using designated vehicles, complying with transport and security regulations, and ensuring explosives are properly secured and stabilised. 
• Inspect post-blast sites by assessing safety, identifying misfires or hazards, evaluating fragmentation and environmental impacts, engaging with the blasting crew, and documenting findings with actionable recommendations
• Ensure policy compliance by staying informed on current policies, participating in training sessions, and seeking clarity on any queries as needed. 
• Implement SHE practices by understanding required actions, executing them within defined timelines, and reviewing implementation in line with standard procedures.
