• A family is looking for a HOME SCHOOL TUTOR for their son aged 11 years old 
• Area: Brooklyn, Pretoria 
• Ages: 11 years old
• Child’s Neurodivergence Snapshot / Support Style: High functioning Autism, PDA and medicated ADHD. Has a hyperfocus on Minecraft and uses it to regulate himself. Learns best via whiteboards, colours, visual learner that enjoys discussions, does not like reading and writing and experiences school and task refusal.

• Duties: He has not attended school since experiencing a severe autistic burnout during his Grade 4 year in June 2025. From July to October 2025, he was enrolled in Cambrilearn, however, due to the severity of his burnout, very little academic work was completed.
• Since then, he has been unschooled, and this period has allowed him to recover remarkably well. Rather than focusing on specific subjects, the family is looking for someone to support a slow, gentle and calm reintroduction to learning through Cambrilearn.
• The priority is rebuilding his confidence, enjoyment of learning and tolerance for academic work at his own pace. Spencer is autistic with a PDA profile and it is important that the tutor is patient, flexible, collaborative and able to adapt their approach to minimise pressure and demands. The ideal person would see themselves as more of an educational mentor than a traditional tutor, helping Spencer reconnect with learning in a way that feels safe and sustainable.
• Requirements:  Tutoring and educational support experience necessary, beneficial if the candidate is a qualified Teacher with PDA / Autism experience
• Start date: August 2026 start  – permanent contract
• Salary:  Tutor: R200 – R250 per hour. Suitable for someone with tutoring or educational support experience who can gently facilitate Spencer's reintroduction to learning through Cambrilearn.
• Qualified Teacher: R300 – R350 per hour. Appropriate for a qualified teacher and/or experience supporting autistic children or those with a PDA profile

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
