Homeschool Tutor | Illovo | R9000 - R13 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Area: Illovo
• Children’s Ages: 9 year old (Gr 5), 8 year old (Gr 4) and 5 year old (Gr 1) - all girls
• Working hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 - 12:30 (breaks are given throughout the year and the same set monthly income is paid year round)
• Duties: Provide structured homeschooling support across core foundation and intermediate phase curriculum, tailoring lessons to suit individual learning needs and developmental stages.
• Duties include planning and delivering daily academic lessons in subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Life Skills, as well as reinforcing concepts through practical activities, worksheets, and interactive learning.
• The tutor will support the children with reading, writing, comprehension, numeracy, and early critical thinking skills, while also encouraging independence, focus, and a positive attitude toward learning. Additional responsibilities include preparing learning materials, tracking academic progress, providing regular feedback to parents, and adapting teaching methods to ensure each child is appropriately supported and challenged within their grade level.
• Special Requirements: Female, English speaking, Christian. A qualified teacher would be a huge bonus but NOT a requirement.
• Curriculum: TBC
• Start Date and contract term: 1 July – permanent  
• Salary: R9000 - R13 000pm - depending on experience and any qualifications (Gross, before deductions)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
