    HPE Pre Sales Specialist

    • Datacentrix is looking for an HPE PreSales Specialist. This role supports the sales team by leveraging product and technical expertise to drive pipeline growth and solution development. Responsibilities include analyzing internal data (e.g., install base, capacity reports) to identify opportunities, evangelizing enterprise products and acting as a trusted technical advisor for customers and partners. The role involves architecting end-to-end solutions using the company’s portfolio (hardware, software, services, and third-party components) to address business challenges. Additionally, the individual crafts compelling proposals, ensures technical and business alignment, and manages solution domains in line with corporate strategy.

    Qualifications and Experience Required:

    • Matric
    • 5+ Years of PreSales experience and technical background
    • HPE Sales Certified - Compute and Storage Solutions
    • HPE Sales Certified - AI and As-a-Service Solutions 
    • HPE Partner Ready Competencies

    Deliverables:

    • Tailors selling solutions to fit the needs of the customer including products, services and technology alliances to achieve assigned quota
    • Achieve and maintain HPE and other vendors' Sales certifications.
    • Drive end-to end Enterprise revenue, profitability, and pipeline by implementing joint business plans and data-driven sales efforts with the sales team.
    • Coordinates activities with the sales team, leveraging vendor specialists when needed, including sales cadence, education, marketing, executive briefings, proactive forecasting, business planning, and client engagements. Drives marketing strategy through the customer.
    • Leverages a solid knowledge of customers' technical environment and a thorough knowledge of company products and solutions to translate the functional view into a technical view and design end-to-end solution architectures aligned to the business needs of the customer, within the specified scope and budget.
    • Proactively works with the account team to provide solution advice, proposals, presentations, and other customer messaging.
    • Collaborates with internal and external vendors to successfully deliver an effective solution to the customer.
    • Participates in deep-dive discussions, articulates the value proposition, and successfully demonstrates benefits of the proposed solution in addressing and resolving customer business challenges.
    • Tracks industry developments for a specific domain through conferences, social media, business events, etc.

    Role Description:

    • Working alongside the account and specialist teams to help drive the sales effort with your product and technical knowledge.
    • At a territory level, assist the team to understand the available internal data (Install base, Capacity Reports) in an effort to drive future pipeline.
    • At the pipeline stage support the internal teams by evangelising the Enterprise portfolio of products and leveraging the technical knowledge to solve a variety of business issues across the customer base.
    • Act as a trusted technical advisor to the customers and partners to resolve business problems.
    • Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate actions within an engagement or campaign.
    • Responsible for architecting solutions and where appropriate, engaging with other vendor stakeholders to ensure that end-to-end solutions that will achieve customer business outcomes can be delivered by leveraging standard solution designs within their focus domain and across the entire company portfolio (hardware, software, services, and everything as a service) in combination with all necessary third-party components (e.g. software and integration).
    • Develops and articulates compelling, accurate and relevant proposals and ensures customer's business and technical requirements are met.
    • Leverages deep knowledge of vendor products and services by identifying the right solution based on vendor competencies and go-to-market strengths.
    • Manages a solution domain consisting of a single or small group of related solutions aligned with the corporate strategy.
