We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to provide comprehensive on-site HR support across all Divisions. The role spans HR administration, recruitment, training and development, performance management, talent management, payroll, and employee relations, including CCMA representation.
You will combine strong administrative capability with practical HR generalist experience and the ability to engage effectively at all levels. This role offers the opportunity to influence people practices, build strong employee relations, and contribute to organisational success.
Requirements
Relevant B Degree in Industrial Psychology/Psychology/HR (essential); Honours advantageous.
Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist experience, including strong IR exposure.
Proficient in SAGE 300 People (Employee, Job Profile, Personnel Management, Reporting).
Knowledge of online recruitment platforms, background check systems, and job grading principles.
Intermediate to advanced MS Office proficiency.
Strong interpersonal, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full recruitment and selection processes, from advertising to onboarding.
Oversee payroll and HR administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and record integrity.
Provide guidance and representation in industrial relations, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
Administer employee benefits, including medical aid, retirement fund, and statutory reporting.
Support performance management, training, and talent development initiatives.
Compile HR reports and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
Act as an advisory partner to management and employees on HR issues.
