    HR Operations Specialist

    Purpose of role:

    • The HR Operations Specialist at Prescient will lead the design and execution of scalable HR processes that empower our global teams to thrive. This role is pivotal in aligning operational excellence with our talent strategy, ensuring seamless employee experiences, compliance, and data integrity across all touchpoints.

    Duties and responsibilities:
    HR Operations Management

    • Overseeing day-to-day HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, and benefits administration. Support in optimizing HR workflows to streamline various processes.
    • Manage employee benefits programs and vendor relationships
    • Implementing and maintaining HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and organisational standards.

    Process Innovation and improvement

    • Identifying areas for process optimisation within HR operations. Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve scalability.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance operational agility and responsiveness.
    • Leading or supporting HR projects aimed at improving efficiency and employee experience.

    Systems and data management

    • Own the HRIS ecosystem, ensuring data accuracy, system integration, and reporting capabilities.
    • Leverage analytics to inform workforce trends, engagement, and retention strategies.
    • Coordinating HR systems and ensuring data integrity within HR information systems, specifically Sage 300 People.
    • Maintain and improve HR systems and databases.

    Employee Reporting

    • Compiling and analysing employee data (e.g. headcount, turnover, transformation metrics etc).
    • Preparing regular and ad hoc HR reports for internal stakeholders and management.
    • Annual Skills reporting (WSP/ATR) ensuring accurate information is provided to the SETA as per Prescient’s skills process.
    • Supporting audits and ensuring data accuracy for statutory and compliance reporting.

    Stakeholder Support

    • Acting as a point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers.
    • Providing administrative and operational support to the Head of Talent and broader HR team.
    • B-BBEE Stakeholder Engagement - serve as a key HR liaison for B-BBEE strategy and implementation across employment equity, skills development, and preferential procurement.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with South Africa’s B-BBEE codes of good practice.
    • Maintain accurate records and reporting for B-BBEE audits and scorecard submissions.
    • Support initiatives that drive transformation, diversity, and inclusion in line with Prescient’s values and regulatory obligations.

    Employee Experience & Support

    • Champion employee-centric processes that reflect Prescient’s values and culture.
    • Manage service delivery for payroll, benefits, and employee queries with a focus on continuous improvement.

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure global compliance with labour laws, data privacy regulations, and internal policies.
    • Lead audits and risk assessments across HR functions.

    Required experience:

    • Minimum 5-7 years + experience in HR operations within a fast-paced, global environment, where you have developed a strong command of HR systems specifically SAGE People 300, and associated Talent Management tools.
    • Experience with supporting regulatory submissions included EE and Skills Development reporting.
    • Analytical mindset with experience in HR metrics and dashboards.
    • Proficiency in HR information systems and reporting tools

    Required Qualifications:

    • Related Financial / Commercial or HR related qualification is required.
