    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

     

    Tiger Brands is looking for trusted strategic HR Advisors for placement across various business areas.

    As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for contributing toward the business people strategy.

    As an HR Consultant/ Specialist, you will manage the execution of the business specific people agenda and deliver efficient and cost-effective HR administrative support to employees and managers at particular business sites in the organisation. These include administrative activities and service delivery along the whole HR value chain (incl. Talent Acquisition and Management, Organisation, Capabilities, Employee Relations and culture needs and priorities).

     

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

     

    Driving and Execution of People Strategy

    • Responsible for the execution of programmes and activities initiated by the HR Business Partners, e.g. Talent Acquisition Campaigns, Bargaining Agreements, Learning and Development Programmes

    • Keep the HR Business Partners informed about the status and success of programmes

    • Provide operational support for ER/IR issues including grievances, disciplinary hearings and terminations

    • Coordinate employee engagement activities such as surveys administration, gathering employee feedback, etc.

    • Collaborate with HR Business Partners on recruitment activities such as scheduling interviews, assessments, etc.

     

    Manage/ Drive Administrative Local Support

    • Process all HR Shared Services activities related to a site or group of sites as per the defined standard procedure

    • Manage the administration of HR operational activities in multiple HR disciplines (recruitment, on-boarding, off-boarding, L&D and Employee Lifecycle.)

    • Manage the on-boarding of new hires - document collection, checklists etc.

    • Schedule and manages administrative activities related to L&D courses at site, e.g. enrolment of employees to courses

    • Run customized HR reports, dashboards and metrics to suit business requirements

    • Provide regular communication and training to all stakeholders on process and system changes as well as on other relevant matters pertaining to HRSS

    • Advise and socialise business/ employees on all HRSS processes relating to site

    • Monitor and address business adoption issues with HR Field Manager

    • Implement and track activities proposed by HR Leaders (issue resolution)

    • Maintain data integrity and org structures in line with standards / budgeted headcount

    • Report on EE targets and recommend actions to drive progress

    • Consolidate EE audit results and recommend corrective actions

    • Monitor labour legislation compliance (BCEA/ OHSA/ LRA/ SD/ EE)

     

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

    Key Attributes & Competencies

    • Commercial savviness & business understanding – with a deep understanding of the key drivers for success in the business area / function, major business trends and relevant processes

    • Planning and organisation skills – with an ability to prioritise and efficiently execute tasks

    • Precision – with proven success in working accurately and with attention to detail

    • Inspirational personality – with an ability to engage and influence people across all levels of the organisation

    • Multi-tasking – with demonstrated success in handling multiple disciplines and operating independently at different site locations

     

     

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Business or HR related degree

    • Professional HR certification / membership preferred

    • Based on HR Consultant/ Specialist level, from 2-6 years’ experience within HR handling operational activities

    • HR Manager requires 8-12 years post-qualification with Executive Level Business partnering experience

    • Knowledge and proven track record in implementation of HR policies and processes

    • Knowledge and proven track record in implementation of impactful HR development and workplace programmes (e.g. Employee Relations, Employment Equity, Talent, Organizational Effectiveness & Development, Engagement)

    • Experience with HR IS (Oracle preferred)

    • Experience in managing SLAs and HR issue resolution

    • People expertise – with a deep understanding of how HR activities contribute to business strategy execution

    • Experience in facilitating leadership teams
