Identity Management Engineer (Saviynt) at EXL South Africa

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Identity Management Engineer with strong expertise in Saviynt Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) to manage, maintain, and enhance our enterprise identity and access management ecosystem.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, development, and expansion of the Saviynt platform, including onboarding new applications, ensuring system stability, and supporting security and access governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Saviynt IDAM/IGA platform, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
• Lead application onboarding and integration using Saviynt connectors (including SAP environments)
• Design, configure, and enhance Saviynt workflows, roles, and access governance models
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide 3rd level (L3) support
• Implement patches, upgrades, and system enhancements in line with best practices
• Manage user lifecycle processes (Joiner, Mover, Leaver) and access provisioning
• Integrate and manage Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD), SSO, and authentication systems
• Support and implement Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Zero Trust security frameworks
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and audit documentation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver IAM solutions
• Contribute to Group IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and policies

Qualifications

Key Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Saviynt IGA (non-negotiable)
• Strong experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM/IGA) environments
• Proven experience with application onboarding, connectors, and workflow development in Saviynt

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Saviynt IGA platform
• Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory (on-premises & Azure AD)
• Experience with authentication & authorization protocols (SSO, LDAP, SAML, OAuth, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Solid understanding of user account and attribute management
• Experience with ITSM tools and processes
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and cloud technologies
• Familiarity with SAP integrations within IAM environments
