Inclusion and Accessibility Lead at Cambridge University Press South Africa

About the role 

• The Inclusion & Accessibility Lead supports the Head of Inclusion & Accessibility and the International Education product group in general in shaping, developing, and stimulating activities that promote and enable EDIB and accessibility. This role works with the Head of Inclusion & Accessibility and International Education (its Board and all colleagues) to set our ambition for both our people and our products, and to focus on the things that will have the most (preferably measurable) impact.
• Together with the Head of Inclusion & Accessibility, the Lead will make an evident difference and provide support to our colleagues and stakeholders, of all backgrounds, life experiences and differences, and help us to appreciate what we have in common, respect different perspectives, and enable vital conversations.

You'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to:

• Drive measurable impact through strategic EDIB initiatives.
• Develop global inclusion frameworks and accessibility compliance programmes.
• Champion inclusive product development and cultural responsiveness.
• Lead internal communications and showcase EDIB progress.
• Represent Cambridge in high-level discussions and external engagements.

Essential Skills:

• Strong knowledge of EDIB principles, accessibility legislation (e.g. European Accessibility Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equality Act 2010), and Universal Design.
• Experience in embedding inclusion into strategy, product development, and organisational culture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across levels.
• Data literacy, including impact measurement and reporting (Power BI experience is a plus).
• Ability to navigate global cultural contexts and legal frameworks.
