Industrial Air Sales Specialist at Atlas Copco

The Role

• Serve as the subject matter expert/specialist on technical information for the sales of compressed air systems using complexed formulas and calculations to determine the sizing of equipment and cost saving to our customer base. 
• Generate leads and develop detailed sales plans to effectively penetrate accounts and achieve sales goals
• Travel to current and prospective customer sites within a designated sales territory to demonstrate and explain products and services, conduct needs assessments using formulas and calculation and solicit orders
• Recommend compressed air system products and services to customers based on their needs, interests, costs, and other technical factors.
• Prepare and present quotes, proposals and calculations to potential and existing customers
• Review and discuss detailed design drawings, specifications, sizing calculations, cost saving calculations or lists related to compressed air system installations.
• Negotiate prices and terms of equipment sales agreements.
• Grow market and customer share for responsible geographical area.
• Distributors: experience in dealing with distributors with regards to technical information, market share growth, territory coverage, closing of deals, building good           relationships.
• Record prospecting activity in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Other tasks as needed or assigned

What we expect of you?

• 10-15 years compressed air sales experience and territory management.
• A minimum of 250 hrs technical sales training experience on compressed air applications.
• Specialize in using formulas to calculate the ventilation of ducting in compressed air applications.
• Calculating and sizing of dryers on site (humidity, flow, pressures, altitude etc using formulas)
• Calculate pressure losses and converting to monetary value and present solution to customer. 
• Air audit experience: flow measurement tests, leak detection tests.
• Specialise in consulting on complexed solutions for compressed air applications for various market segments.
• Minimum of 10 years dealing with and increasing organizational visibility within the industrial, manufacturing, food and beverage, mining and medical industries through active networking.
• At least 10 years’ experience on tender document completion, technical breakdowns, specialising in calculating costs saving, sizing of equipment and offering the best solution to engineers on site. 
• At least 10 years of negotiating compressed air projects with buyers and engineers.
• Valid Driver's License and clear motor vehicle record
• Proven ability to generate leads, convert leads to sales opportunities, and achieve sales targets.
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills
• Must have a good understanding and action plan of hunting vs farming.
• Must be able to execute strategy and generate action plans for responsible area
• Work closely with communication team to generate digital marketing leads for your focus areas.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
